Meeting Volunteers: bring snacks, walk Brownies over from Old Gym to KC Hall, assist with activities. Co-Leaders will contact you prior to the meeting to let you know what activities are planned for the meeting.

Meeting Format:
Opening: Pledge of Allegiance, Girl Scout Promise, Prayer
Snacks and Story Time: We will follow the story in the Girls WOW books
Activities: split into two groups. WOW Activity: focuses on the WOW Journey books. This will be lead by the co-leaders. Fun-patch or Try-It activity: this will be a fun project lead by the co-leaders.
Closing: friendship circle, song, prayer, friendship squeeze

Weekend Activities: Our goal is to have one activity outside of the regular troop meeting. This might be to join in other Girl Scout activities around Baton Rouge or New Orleans, camping, service projects, etc.

Special Volunteers Needed: Cookie Mom and Camping Leader

Both of these will require training. Please let us know if you are interested and we’ll give you more information on what the duties would entail.

Cookie Sales: We are required to participate in cookie sales. This is a leadership activity for the girls to determine what they want to do with the money they earn, how much money they’d have to raise, and what goals they need to set for their cookie sales to reach what they want to do. (i.e. camping trip, special trip or outing, etc.)

Registration:
See attached registration forms. Each girl and parent(s) that will attend any meeting or activity needs to be registered. $12 for each girl and each parent. Please make checks payable to Girl Scouts.

Monthly Dues: Our troop is starting at zero. Collection of monthly dues will help spread the costs of materials for craft projects, event registration, camping fees, etc. The dues are $10/month = $90 total. This can be paid any way that is most convenient for you: one payment, half now and half in February, or monthly. Tara Stevens will be handling all account transactions for our troop. Please make checks payable to Girl Scouts.

First Aid Training: The Girl Scout organization requires at least one adult trained in First Aid and CPR at every event. Check the Council website for training schedule or alternative acceptable training programs.
